Indeed justice occupies an important place in the heart of man; God Himself, having created everything, told us about His universal justice and urges us to be just to ourselves and His created creations. Allah says “O you who believe! Be upright for Allah bearers of Witness with justice, and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably, act equitably, that is near to piety. Justice enjoys a sensitive position in man’s life, for it is a source of all noble traits. In other words, justice is a motive behind excellent conduct. It is also an element that creates harmony and serenity between human societies. In fact, justice is an essential step towards uniting societies in the path of righteousness. So, therefore, justice occupies central roles in man’s life, which is supposed to be freely given and exercise indeed.
“It is our duty to struggle in this fashion, and the result is with Allah” – Imam Khomeini.
Ever since the Northern and Southern Protectorates were amalgamated into an entity called Nigeria, peace and stability have become a mirage in this land of lost opportunity. In every corners and enclaves; ethnicity and nationalities; religions and social groupings the call, demand and accessing justice has become a strong vocabulary and culture, among citizens, who have suffered and are continuing suffering from structural and institutional injustice from the clientele Nigerian state. The search for justice and peace has led to the rise and fall of various separatists groups, violence and ethno-religious conflicts each angling for reforms or total succession from the state; such as the OPC, MOSSOP, Niger Delta militant and militancy, ethno-religious crisis in northern region and all manners of confusion.
Unfortunately, over the years, the Nigerian nation and citizens have suffer from pervasive injustices and oppressions in various degrees been its structural, institutional, economic, political, insecurity, state engineer crisis, genocide and assassination. The question of light at the end of the tunnel seem not only illusive, but, haplessly hopeless, as the structures and institutions responsible for redressing the wrongs and offering and delivering justice and smiles to the long suffering and belligerent citizens, have not only become the major impediment to accessing justice, but, have helped in entrenching and consolidating injustices, oppression and insecurity in every facet of our national life.
Ironically, most a time, the state settles legitimate protests and request for justice with greater violence and oppression, especially against innocent and peaceful lovers and seekers of justice; while sophisticated criminals, separatists groups and militants who pick up arms, vandalised structures and killed innocent citizens are bribed with billions of naira and enjoys state protections. The case of billions of dollars paid to the Niger-Delta militants in the name of amnesty, pipeline contracts and other bribes and supports not only reflects the insensitivity of the Nigerian state to the flights of millions of law abiding citizens, who remain patient amidst various degrees of injustices and impoverishment, but, send a message to all that violence pays and that is the only means to getting government and leader’s attention and responses. This is the crisis and confusion within the Nigerian justice system and foresight by the old and new owners and leaders of the Nigerian state. Failure to dispel justice, security, confidence and hope on millions of hopeful Nigerians, have turn the Nigerian state into the microtome and epic theatres of violence and insecurity.
Interestingly, this microtome, centrifugal forces and cleavages were further exacerbated and heighten to high degree in the last six years under the belligerent system run under the son of fisherman former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The cry for freedom and justice was not only echo in the highest voices, but, the state and institutions became the biggest beneficiary of injustice and hopelessness through various pseudo names and state engineered insecurity in the name of Boko Haram. The son of a fisherman not only surrendered the security and sovereignty of the state to Zionist entity, but, became disdain to anybody or group who championed and questioned government cluelessness and unseriousness in responds to the killing industries in the northern region. While majority and formers leaders kept mute to the killing industries in the northern region; a strong voice of uprightness, sincerity, seeker and lover of peace and justice His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H) continue to speak against the carnage and hopelessness going on in the country amidst absolute silence and stupidity.
Interestingly, on July 25th 2014, 34 innocent and lovers of freedom, peace and justice including three pious children (Sayyeed Shaheed Ahmad, Hameed and Mahmud) of his Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H) were massacre and gunned down in the ancient city of Zaria by the Nigerian military during the International Quds day solidarity walk and protest against an equally oppressive, barbaric, illegal and illegitimate genocide State of Israel against the innocent and belligerent people of Palestine. Indeed, International Quds is an annual ritual conducted around the world in responds to the call of Imam Khomeini (QS) for all lovers of peace, justice and humanity to used the last Friday of Ramadan to show love and solidarity to the good and spirited people of Palestine. In Nigeria, it is neither new to the government or society, nor, is it against the national and international laws and protocols. But, the son of a fisherman who had sold his soul and country to the illegal and bloodthirsty Zionist entity decided to use institution and structures of government to kill his citizens to appease the gods of Tel Aviv, Washington, and London etc.
Indeed it was a state premeditated murder and crime against humanity. For, a society and government who specialised in killing and mutilating the bodies and souls of it youths and future, one wonders what future holds for such society. Majority of those killed on that faithful day were in their prime age, energetic and creativity. In an ideal society, youths are beckon of hope and development; thus, the need to nurture and provide guides and environment for growth and development. Unfortunately, in our own Banana Republic under the tutelages pseudo hopeless and unproductive leadership class, it is their future they are killing, not for the benefit of their society, but, to show their subservient to their slave masters.
It has been one year since the three children and 31 followers of the leader and guardian of Islamic Reawakening in Nigeria, His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H) were killed by the evil and drunk marooning Nigerian military in Zaria, yet, neither justice nor serious minded state condemnation of such barbaric acts was done by the hopeless ruling and clueless government of the son of a fisherman. The attitude of the state on this issues is not only appalling, but, reflects the adage peaceful and lovely people can be kill and slaughter in cold blood, while criminals gangs and societal misfits are rewarded with billions of dollars and contracts; thus telling us in clear voice that, violence pays and is the only way to get justice. Unfortunately, the state has lost the monopoly of violence, as citizens due to lack of access to justice, have created jungle justice system and process for themselves. We are indeed pain by what happened to us and our leader and guardian His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H), but, violence will never be an option, or something that will be contemplated upon, but, we shall continue to seek all legal and international frameworks within outreach to seek for justice for our lovely martyrs and family. The state must understand and appreciate the fact, that, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the dynamic leadership and guardianship of his Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H) can never be structured neither force to pick arms or bribe to submission nor blackmail to a standstill. Our revolution is the revolution of the mindset and changing unethical behaviours to ethical and religious sanctioned ways of life.
It is soul searching to say, that, government must understand and appreciate the fact, that, a “study of the history of revolution, (rise and fall of leaders and empires) around the world, shows important factor worthy of reflection upon, on which the basis of uprisings and revolutions around the world and between various nations were built. That factor is no other than justice. Many times this word awakened the souls of those who lives were filled with deprivation and whose rights and honour were encroached upon. The oppressed revolted against organs of evil, and endeavoured to achieve the precious gems of freedom and justice by eradicating (or confronting) the unjust beast. In most cases, the oppressed are willing to sacrifice their lives in the hope of wiping our oppressor. The role of oppression in destroying societies, ruining behaviours, and violating social security is undisputable”.
The above statement is a direct reflection of an entity called Nigeria. Indeed, victory was achieved with the blood of International Quds Day martyrs. They not only cleanse the earth from dirt and oppression, but, have watered the tree of Islamic freedom and justice in this land of lost opportunity. The son of fisherman though he has conquered the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, but, unfortunately on March 28 2015, he finally realised that, the actual failure and hopeless personae conquered is he himself; as he was send out of parking from the position that made him what he is and command the so called respect he enjoys. Now judgment day has set in for him and he shall pay for the blood of Zaria 34 innocent and peaceful protesters. They are sacred bloods and Allah will not live such sacred bloods without justice.
We are calling for justice, because we have not forgiven nor have we forgotten the crime and criminality against our brothers and sisters innocently gunned down and massacre on that faithful day. The National Human Right Commission must own up to it’s promised to investigate and indict the culprits within the framework of National and International justice system, we lovers of peace and students paid a protest visit to their office on Wednesday 28th January, 2014. The International Quds Day massacre of July 25, 2014 is unlike those cases of forgotten stories, but, an unfolding event and will continue to be alive until we get justice. We are calling for justice from the new Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. The criminals and gangsters that committed this heinous crime against humanity are still wearing the military uniform and still paid salary with our hard earned resources and taxes. This is indeed an insult to the souls of all those killed by these criminals, gangsters and bastards. Since we are in the era of change; change must be accompany with access to justice and reconciliation with the family of Zaria 34. The only way, Nigerians will understand and appreciate the mantra of change is for justice to take its course against crimes and gangsters in military uniform.
It has been one year of mourning, sadness on one hand; and, happiness, freedom and victory on the other hand. Mourning and sadness because we missed the physical presence of our beloved brothers and sisters; because their smiles, advice and comfort have always nurtured and offers hopes and beauty in our souls. Indeed, missing their physical presences is mourning and sadness to some us; however, happiness, freedom and victory which equally tranquilizes our souls, because, we knew and are confidence that they didn’t died in vain. The sacrifice and martyrdom have watered and weed away all the unnecessary germs in our land; and the land and Islam is now purified with the blood of martyrs. Their martyrdom have entrenched and consolidated our resolve and commitment to Islam, Islamic revival and heritage under the dynamic and spiritually guided leadership of Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H).
It is interesting to say that, the July 25 2014 massacre is a clear manifestation of Allah’s promise in the glorious Quran. In the words of the Holy Qur’an, Allah has promised us the result as follows: “Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion — the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace. They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. If any do reject faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked. So establish regular prayer and give regular charity; and obey the apostle; that ye may receive mercy. Never think thou that the unbelievers are going to frustrate (Allah’s plan) on earth: their abode is the Fire, — and it is indeed an evil refuge!’(24: 55-57). This is indeed an abiding promise and manifestation of victory and support through the blood of our martyrs. Their sacred bloods have watered the tree of Islam and given us the beautiful victory, integration and abandoned blessing and support from both enemies and foes alike. Equally, in the words of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (a.s.) does one find felicity and faith when he was quoted to have said: “When Allah witnessed their patience in resisting the tortures and hardships, which were inflicted upon them, because of their love for Him and following the path of truth. He opened over them gates of divine assistance in the midst of those difficult bottlenecks of misfortunes. The deprived of yesterday, after that found themselves as rulers and governors. Their glory, fame, prestige, reached to a point, which had never been imagined by them in their best of dreams.” Path of Eloquence (Nahj-ul-Balagha Sermon No. 234).
In conclusion, we pray to Allah for His abundant blessing and mercy on our martyrs; may Allah continue to comfort the hearts and souls of our leader, guardian and the conscience of Africa Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob Zakzaky (H), his courageous and amiable wife and mother of martyrs Mallam Zeenatudeen, members of the family and the families of all 31 martyrs, over the unfortunate death and systematic state engineered massacre of three children and 31 followers in one day during the International Quds day. Indeed, it was a great lost, as well as a victory for the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and Islam. They have showed the only path to victory, we hope to be a beneficiary of this lofty blessing and mercy by Allah some days when the opportunity presence itself. It has indeed been a year now of this senseless and criminal crime against humanity, we have not forgotten and we demand for justice against the criminals and gangsters still in military uniform from the government of change. Indeed, it has been one year since the Zaria 34 Massacre, we shall continue to remember, demand and search for justice, in an unjust society.
