Some aspirants, who failed in their bids for the All Progressives Congress (APC), tickets to contest elective offices in Nasarawa State, have resolved to bury the hatchet and work for the success of the party in the 2019 general elections.

The aspirants, who addressed newsmen after a meeting on Monday in Lafia, promised to support President Muhammad Buhari’s bid for a fresh tenure, as well as Abdullahi Sule, the party’s governorship candidate.

Mr Aliyu Wadada, who contested for the governorship ticket, spoke on behalf of his nine other colleagues.

He said that the aspirants had all resolved to deliver all seats to the APC.

“We have resolved to pool out resources together; we are united in that task and shall succeed,” he said.

According to him, the aspirants have directed their supporters to embark on a house-to-house campaign so as to deliver victory to APC at all levels.

“We have already presented our various blueprints to the governorship candidate in order to harmonise all thoughts into one document that will ensure victory to our party,” Wadada added.

In his remarks, Mr Philip Shekwo, APC Chairman in the state, thanked the aspirants for the support, and promised that their interests and aspirations would be captured in the comprehensive blueprint aimed at making Nasarawa better.
