The former Deputy-Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Tunde Lemo on Thursday celebrated his 60th birthday in grand style in Lagos.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were: Rev Felix Meduoye, former General Overseer (G.O), Foursquare Gospel Church; Rev & Rev (Mrs) Sam Aboyeji, current G.O. Foursquare, Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Founding Pastor, Latter Rain Church and wife.
Others were: Dr. Sarah Alade, Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on Finance; Mrs Elizabeth Ebi and; Mr & Mrs Bola Akingbade, Segun Oloketuyi, former GMD, Wema Bank; Mr Ademola Adebise, current GMD, Wema Bank, Oba Tejuosho, Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, the Oloris and Chiefs of Oke-Ona.
The foremost financial expert and Egba-born philanthropist, would also launch an empowerment initiative for the Nigerian youths tagged, LEND A HELPING HAND.
Lemo, the Chairman, Board of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), said the initiative was borne out of the staggering unemployment rate (36.5%) among the Nigerian youths which constitutes a very serious socio-economic problem in the country.
According to him, the empowerment scheme is an intervention programme aimed at equipping interested unemployed youth-graduates and non graduates with vocational skills that will either enhance their employability or prepare them for self employment.
