Saudi Arabia backs Sudan with $1 billion


Sudanese President Omar al-BashirKhartoum (Reuters) – Sudan’s central bank received a total of $1 billion from Saudi Arabia in July and August, the Sudanese state minister of finance said on Wednesday.

The central bank received “investment deposits” of $500 million in July from Saudi Arabia and $500 million in August, Abdulrahman Dirar said.
