Oyo State NURTW boss, ‘Auxilliary’, docked for murder

A Iyaganku Senior Magistrates’ Court sitting at Ibadan on Monday ordered the remand of a former Oyo State NURTW factional boss, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi a.k.a Auxilliary inAgodi prison for murder.
The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Kehinde Omotosho, gave the order in Ibadan.The accused was standing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder.
Meanwhile, the plea of the accused, through his counsel, Mr Olumuyiwa Makinde was not taken.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Falola, the accused was alleged to have conspired with others still at large to commit murder.Falola said the accused and others at large did caused the death of one Adekunle Oladipupo by shooting him with gun.
The offence, the prosecutor said was committed on March 2, at about 10:10 a.m at Mustard filling station, Iwo road, Ibadan.
Falola said the offence contravened Section 319 and 324 of the Criminal code, Cap. 38, Vol 11, Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The case was adjourned to June 18, for mention.
