The new executive of National Movement For Progressive Group (NMPG) has called on Ogun state government to as a matter of urgency close all entry point to the state to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease.

According to NMPG, the move would help in containing the spread of the Coronavirus across the state as the carrier would be restricted from moving around.

The National Chairman of the group, Mr. Olufemi Lawal who spoke with journalists in Abeokuta on Wednesday, maintained that, as the federal government closed all borders to foreigners and travellers, it is imperative for the state government to close all entry points to visitors to the state.

Lawal commended the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for providing necessary measures and information in curtailing the pandemic.

He urged the people to abide with the directives of the state government as precaution against the disease.

The new national chairman who emerged through a consensus vote said NMPG as a movement group of All Progressives Congress (APC) would continue to engage the public on the need to maintain self hygiene.
