A nationwide survey on Friday showed that Filipinos are seemingly divided on whether it is possible to fall in love with more than one person at the same time.
It showed that forty-four per cent of adult Filipinos believe falling in love with more than one person simultaneously is “definitely” or “somewhat” possible, while 43 per cent said it was impossible.
It also showed that twelve per cent were undecided, according to the survey conducted by Manila-based pollster Social Weather Stations in December and released ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Only 19 per cent of 1,500 respondents surveyed between December 3-6 said they have experienced falling in love with more than one person at the same time, while 81 per cent said they have not.
As part of the questionnaire, 55 per cent of Filipinos said they were “very happy” with their love life, while 31 per cent admitted it could be better.
Valentine’s Day is a popular occasion in the predominantly Catholic Philippines, with commercial establishments often keen to cash in on the celebrations.
