With the tragic passing of Whitney Houston’s only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, comes news that an investigation is about to begin.

According to TMZ, the District Attorney had been preparing for a murder case in the event that Bobbi passed away, with her boyfriend – and rumoured husband – Nick Gordon at the centre of their allegations.

Police had said there were “bruises” on the young star’s face and body when she was found unconscious in her bathtub on January 31, 2015.

The star was found by Gordon, and another friend.

“In view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest,” the Fulton Country D.A told the gossip site.

The family confirmed earlier today that Bobbi Kristina had passed away, after being taken off life support.

“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015 (U.S. time), surrounded by her family,” a statement from her family said.

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

The 22-year-old, who never regained consciousness after being found unconscious in her bathtub on January 31, was living in a longterm care facility in Georgia at the time of her death.
