APC raises sub-committee to zone national offices


APCThe National Convention Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday constituted a sub-committee to zone the party’s national offices for its forth coming national convention.
Senator Joseph Waku, a member of the National Convention Committee, made the disclosure to newsmen shortly after the committee’s close- door meeting at the Sokoto Government Lodge in Abuja.
Waku said the committee would continue to fine-tune the modalities on how to zone the national offices without resulting into crisis in the party.Waku, however decline to name the membership of the sub-committees.
He said that the committee also constituted other sub-committees to handle different responsibilities to ensure a successful national convention of the party.He said membership of some of the committees were not complete at the meeting, expressing optimism that the follow up of their meeting would address other grey areas.
He said the continuation of the meeting would give time frame for the submission of reports to the central convention committee as well as the leadership of its subcommittees.
According to him, “We have just constituted some sub-committees for our convention, especially those that will zone the national offices for the convention.We will converge Today (Tuesday) to fine-tune how these sub-committees will work, especially when to submit their report to the national Convention Committee.Membership of some committees were not complete at the meeting, so we will continue with our meeting today to address some of the issues that are still pending’’
APC, inaugurated  a 15-member committee ahead of its National Convention scheduled for June 13 and 14 in Abuja.
Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State is the committee chairman, while Senator Chris Ngige is the Secretary.
